2. Cash, Cash Equivalents, and Restricted Cash
Restricted cash shown in the consolidated condensed balance sheets includes amounts set aside pursuant to the Aemetis Biogas 1 LLC Term Loan Agreement and the Aemetis Biogas 2 LLC Construction and Term Loan Agreement for financing reserves and construction contingencies. In September 2026, restricted cash associated with the Aemetis Biogas 1 LLC term loan was applied against the outstanding loan balance. These loans are described further in Note 5 - Debt.
The following table reconciles cash, cash equivalents, and restricted cash reported in the consolidated condensed balance sheets to the total of the same amounts shown in the consolidated condensed statement of cash flows:
