Segment Reporting [Abstract]
Segment Information

14. Segment Information

Operating segments are identified as components of an enterprise about which separate discrete financial information is available for evaluation by the chief operating decision maker (CODM), or decision-making group, in making decisions on how to allocate resources and assess performance. The Company’s CODM, its Chief Executive Officer, views the Company’s operations and manages the business as one operating segment focused on the development and commercialization of gene therapies to treat an array of diseases. The determination of a single operating segment is consistent with the consolidated financial information regularly provided to the CODM.

The CODM reviews and evaluates consolidated net income (loss) for purposes of assessing performance, making operating decisions and allocating resources. The CODM uses net income (loss) to assess performance versus operating budgets and in the preparation of near-term and long-range operating plans to inform decisions on resource and capital allocation. The CODM reviews consolidated cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities as a measure of segment assets. As of September 30, 2026 and December 31, 2025, the Company’s cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities were $251.0 million and $240.9 million, respectively.

The following table presents information about the Company's segment revenues, significant segment expenses regularly provided to the CODM, other segment items and consolidated net loss (in thousands):
