Share-Based Payment Arrangement [Abstract]
Stock-based Compensation Stock-based Compensation
The Company regularly issues share-based compensation to its employees and directors who are not employees of the Company. The accounting guidance for share-based compensation requires measurement of compensation cost for share-based awards at fair value and recognition of compensation cost over the service period. For a full description of the Company’s stock-based compensation programs, refer to Note 14. “Common Stock and Stockholders’ Equity” of the Company’s financial statements included in the Company's 2025 Form 10-K.

In the nine months ended September 30, 2026, the Company granted a portion of its employees awards in the form of restricted stock units (“RSUs”) and performance stock units (“PSUs”). The total number of units granted was approximately 7.9 million and the aggregate fair value of the awards was $42.9 million. A portion of the awards granted consisted of RSUs vesting over a three year period, with one-third vesting on the first anniversary of the grant and with the remainder vesting quarterly thereafter. A smaller portion of the awards granted consisted of PSUs subject to the achievement of specific performance criteria that will time-vest over a three year period, whereas the expense will be recognized on an accelerated tranche-by-tranche basis.
