1The weighted-average expected long-term rates of return on plan assets used in computing 2026 net periodic benefit cost (income) were 6.25% for pension plans and 6.75% for other postretirement benefit plans.
2The settlement loss is related to the buy-out of a non-U.S. defined benefit plan.
3The curtailment loss was primarily related to the buy-in annuity purchase (“buy-in”) for a non-U.S. defined benefit plan. The Company intends to convert the buy-in to a buy-out in the future, at which time the insurer would assume full responsibility for the plan obligations.
4The special termination benefits represent benefit uplifts provided to plan participants included in the 2026 buy-out and the 2025 buy-in.
