| BASIS OF PRESENTATION | BASIS OF PRESENTATION The interim Condensed Consolidated Financial Statements (“interim statements”) of Newmont Corporation, a Delaware corporation, and its subsidiaries (collectively, “Newmont,” “we,” “us,” or the “Company”) are unaudited. In the opinion of management, all normal recurring adjustments and disclosures necessary for a fair presentation of these interim statements have been included. The results reported in these interim statements are not necessarily indicative of the results that may be reported for the entire year. These interim statements should be read in conjunction with Newmont’s Consolidated Financial Statements for the year ended December 31, 2025 on Form 10-K. The year-end balance sheet data was derived from the audited financial statements, and in accordance with the instructions to Form 10-Q, certain information and footnote disclosures required by GAAP have been condensed or omitted. Reportable Segments Nevada Gold Mines Amended Joint Venture Agreement On August 10, 2026, the Company and Barrick Mining Corporation ("Barrick") amended the Nevada Gold Mines ("NGM") joint venture arrangement. Pursuant to the amended agreement, certain previously excluded properties, including Barrick's Fourmile development property and the Company's Fiberline and Mike development properties, are to be contributed to NGM. The Company also agreed to contribute $1.95 billion in cash within 30 days following the contribution of the Fourmile development property. The agreement also includes enhancements to the governance provisions of the NGM joint venture, resolves all outstanding disputes between the Company and Barrick relating to NGM, and provides for the Company's consent to Barrick's proposed initial public offering of certain assets. The contribution of the three development properties to NGM is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, at which time the Company will recognize its 38.5% interest in Fourmile based on the consideration transferred, which will include the cash payment to Barrick and 61.5% of the fair value of Fiberline and Mike. As Fiberline and Mike have no carrying value prior to their contribution, the Company expects to recognize a gain upon completion of the transaction. Ahafo North Reportable Segment In October 2025, the Company declared commercial production at its Ahafo North project in Ghana resulting in classification as a reportable segment. Prior to declaration of commercial production, Ahafo North was classified as a development project, and all activity was included in the Ahafo South reportable segment up to the date of commercial production. Although not a reportable segment until the fourth quarter of 2025, the amounts related to Ahafo North have been reported separately for comparability purposes. Refer to Note 4 for further information. Divestiture of Non-Core Assets The Company completed the sale of the CC&V, Musselwhite, and Éléonore reportable segments in the first quarter of 2025, the sale of the Porcupine and Akyem reportable segments in the second quarter of 2025, and the sale of the Coffee development project in the fourth quarter of 2025. Refer to Note 3 for further information on divestitures.
