Investments in Taiwan could be adversely affected by its political and economic relationship with China. Specifically, Taiwan’s geographic proximity and history of political contention with China have resulted in ongoing tensions between the two countries. Any escalation of these tensions may materially affect the Taiwanese economy and its securities market.
Investing in South Korea risk: Investments in securities of South Korean issuers involve risks that are specific to South Korea, including certain legal, regulatory, political, economic, currency and security risks. In addition, economic and political developments of South Korea’s neighbors or potential hostilities with North Korea may have an adverse effect on the South Korean economy.
