Eyeglass World Lab Optimization Initiative
During the three months ended July 4, 2026, the Company initiated an Eyeglass World lab optimization initiative designed to optimize certain in-store laboratory functions by transitioning in-store lab surfacing activities to the Company's central laboratory operations. As a result of this transition, the Company eliminated certain positions within the affected in-store laboratories, impaired certain laboratory equipment and wrote off inventory that is no longer expected to be utilized in operations.
The Company expects substantially all activities under the plan to be completed within one year and does not expect to incur any material additional costs. Total costs associated with the plan are expected to be approximately $3.0 million to
$4.0 million, consisting primarily of non-cash equipment impairment charges, inventory write-offs, and employee termination benefits. The Company will continue to evaluate the impact of the transition and may incur additional costs as the plan is executed.
