Note 4. Fair value measurements

 

Fair value measurements discussed herein are based upon certain market assumptions and pertinent information available to management as of June 30, 2026 and December 31, 2025 and during the three and six months ended June 30, 2026 and 2025. The carrying amount of accounts payable approximated fair value as they are short term in nature. The fair value of stock options and warrants issued is estimated based on the Black-Scholes model.

 

Fair Value on a Recurring Basis

 

The Company follows the guidance in ASC 820 for its financial assets and liabilities that are re-measured and reported at fair value at each reporting period, and non-financial assets and liabilities that are re-measured and reported at fair value at least annually. The estimated fair value of the money market account represents a Level 1 measurement. The following table presents information about the Company’s assets and liabilities that are measured at fair value on a recurring basis at June 30, 2026 and December 31, 2025, and indicates the fair value hierarchy of the valuation inputs the Company utilized to determine such fair value:
