Note 13 — Segment Information

The Company conducts its business activities and reports financial results as one business segment. The presentation of financial results as one reportable segment is consistent with the way the Company operates its business and is consistent with the manner in which the Chief Operating Decision Maker (“CODM”) evaluates performance and makes resource and operating decisions for the business. The Company’s CODM is the Chief Executive Officer. Furthermore, the Company notes that monitoring financial results as one reportable segment helps the CODM manage costs on a consolidated basis, consistent with the integrated nature of the operations. The CODM uses net loss, as reported on the Consolidated Statements of Operations and Comprehensive Loss, in evaluating performance of the Company and determining how to allocate resources of the Company as a whole. The CODM reviews consolidated financial information and does not regularly review discrete expense categories or other significant segment expenses apart from the information presented in the consolidated statement of operations and other disclosures included in the consolidated financial statements. As the CODM evaluates performance on a consolidated basis, all required financial segment information is included in the consolidated financial statements.
