| Basis of Presentation | The interim condensed consolidated financial statements (“Interim Financial Statements”) of Sunshine Silver Mining & Refining Company, a Delaware corporation, and its subsidiaries (collectively, “SSMR,” “we,” “us,” or the “Company”) are unaudited. In the opinion of management, all normal recurring adjustments and disclosures necessary for a fair presentation of these Interim Financial Statements have been included. The results reported in these Interim Financial Statements are not necessarily indicative of the results that may be reported for the entire year. These Interim Financial Statements should be read in conjunction with the Company’s consolidated financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025, as filed with the SEC on Form S-1. The year-end balance sheet data was derived from the audited financial statements and certain information and footnote disclosures required by GAAP have been condensed or omitted. These Interim Financial Statements have been prepared in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”) and are expressed in U.S. Dollars. The Interim Financial Statements reflect the consolidation of SSMR and its subsidiaries. |
| Consolidation | All intercompany balances and transactions have been eliminated in consolidation. |
| Recent Accounting Pronouncements Not Yet Adopted | Recent Accounting Pronouncements Not Yet Adopted In November 2024, the FASB issued ASU 2024-03, Disaggregation of Income Statement Expenses, which requires public business entities to provide disaggregated expense disclosures in the notes to the financial statements. The standard is effective for the Company beginning in fiscal year 2027, and the Company is currently assessing the impact of adoption.
