| Segment Reporting, CODM, Profit (Loss) Measure, How Used, Description | The Company’s chief operating decision maker (“CODM”), our Chief Executive Officer, utilizes total sales and Segment Adjusted EBITDA, which is the Company’s GAAP measure of segment profit, to evaluate each operating segment’s financial performance and make decisions about resource allocation. Segment Adjusted EBITDA is defined as net income before interest expense, interest income, income taxes, depreciation, and amortization and excludes certain items that the Company does not consider part of its segments’ core operating results, including stock-based compensation expense, changes in the LIFO reserve, acquisition, integration and reorganization expenses, and gains and losses related to fuel derivatives. The CODM reviews budget-to-actual and year-over-year variances for net sales and Segment Adjusted EBITDA each month when assessing segment performance and making decisions about allocating resources to the segments. | ||
