| INCOME TAXES | INCOME TAXES Our effective tax rate decreased to 21.3% for the second quarter of 2026, compared to 24.6% for the same period in 2025, and to 21.8% for the first half of 2026, compared to 24.0% for the first half of 2025. These decreases were primarily driven by favorable tax settlements recognized in the second quarter of 2026.
