| Deferred Revenue | 4. Deferred Revenue Deferred revenue consists primarily of payments received and accounts receivable recorded in advance of revenue recognition under the Company’s subscription service arrangements and is recognized as the revenue recognition criteria are met. The Company primarily invoices its customers for its subscription services arrangements in advance. Deferred revenue also includes balances related to future performance obligations for hardware, advertising, and other revenue. Amounts anticipated to be recognized within one year of the balance sheet date are recorded as deferred revenue, current and the remaining portion is recorded as deferred revenue, noncurrent on the condensed consolidated balance sheets. During the three and six months ended June 30, 2026, the Company recognized revenue of $9.7 million and $37.6 million, respectively, that was included in the deferred revenue balance at December 31, 2025. During the three and six months ended June 30, 2025, the Company recognized revenue of $8.6 million and $31.6 million, respectively, that was included in the deferred revenue balance at December 31, 2024. Remaining performance obligations represent the amount of contracted future revenue not yet recognized as the amounts relate to undelivered performance obligations, including both deferred revenue and non-cancellable contracted amounts that will be invoiced and recognized as revenue in future periods. As permitted in ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers, and specifically ASC 606-10-50-14(a), the Company has excluded from this amount variable consideration allocated entirely to wholly unsatisfied performance obligations. Revenue expected to be recognized in connection with remaining performance obligations was $186.8 million as of June 30, 2026, of which the Company expects 46% to be recognized over the next twelve months.
