| Summary of Significant Accounting Policies | Note 2. Summary of Significant Accounting Policies Basis of presentation: The accompanying interim consolidated financial statements of the Company and related financial information have been prepared in accordance with GAAP in the United States of America for interim financial information and pursuant to ASC Topic 946, Financial Services–Investment Companies, the requirements for reporting on Form 10-Q, and Articles 6, 10 and 12 of Regulation S-X. Accordingly, they do not include all of the information and notes required by GAAP for annual financial statements. However, in the opinion of management, the consolidated financial statements include all adjustments, consisting only of normal and recurring accruals and adjustments, necessary for fair presentation as of, and for, the periods presented. These consolidated financial statements and notes hereto should be read in conjunction with the financial statements and notes thereto included in the Company's Annual Report on Form 10 K for the year ended December 31, 2025, filed on March 13, 2026. The results of operations for any interim period are not necessarily indicative of the results of operations to be expected for the full year. Significant Accounting Policies: The following information supplements the description of significant accounting policies contained in Note 2 to the Company's financial statements included in the Company's Annual Report on Form 10 K for the year ended December 31, 2025. Reclassifications: Certain prior period amounts may have been reclassified to conform to the current period presentation in the consolidated financial statements and the accompanying notes thereto. Reclassifications did not impact net increase (decrease) in net assets resulting from operations, total assets, total liabilities or total net assets, or consolidated statements of changes in net assets and consolidated statements of cash flows classifications. Use of estimates: The preparation of financial statements in conformity with GAAP requires management to make estimates and assumptions that affect the reported amounts of assets and liabilities and disclosure of contingent assets and liabilities at the date of the financial statements and the reported amounts of investment income, expenses, gains and losses during the reporting period. Actual results could differ significantly from those estimates. Cash and cash equivalents: Cash consists of cash deposits held at U.S. Bank Trust Company, National Association and cash equivalents consist of highly liquid money market funds. Cash equivalents are classified as Level 1 assets under ASC 820 and are carried at amortized cost, which approximates fair value. The Company’s cash and cash equivalents are maintained with a member bank of the FDIC, and, such balances generally exceed the FDIC insurance limits. The Company does not believe it is exposed to any significant credit risk related to its cash and cash equivalent balances. The Company had the following cash and cash equivalents as of June 30, 2026 and December 31, 2025:
Concentration of credit risk: Aside from the Company’s investments, financial instruments that potentially subject the Company to concentrations of credit risk consist principally of cash deposits at financial institutions. At various times during the year, the Company exceeds the federally insured limit. The Company places cash deposits only with high credit quality institutions that it believes will mitigate the risk of loss due to credit risk. If borrowers completely fail to perform according to the terms of the contracts, the amount of loss due to credit risk from the Company’s investments is equal to the sum of the Company’s recorded investments and, if applicable, the unfunded commitments disclosed in Note 6. |
