(1)     Instruments placed with customers consist of drug-delivery and monitoring systems placed with customers under operating leases.

Depreciation expense was $16.6 million and $33.6 million for the three and six months ended June 30, 2026, respectively, as compared to $16.9 million and $33.8 million for the three and six months ended June 30, 2025, respectively. Depreciation expense included in costs of goods sold was $15.1 million and $30.4 million for the three and six months ended June 30, 2026, respectively, as compared to $15.4 million and $30.2 million for the three and six months ended June 30, 2025, respectively.
