| Basis of Accounting and Consolidation | Basis of Accounting and Consolidation The unaudited Condensed Consolidated Financial Statements have been prepared in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States (U.S. GAAP) for interim financial information and with rules and regulations of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and consolidate the financial statements of the Parent and all of its controlled subsidiaries. In the opinion of management, the Condensed Consolidated Financial Statements reflect all adjustments, consisting of normal recurring accruals, which are necessary for the fair presentation of the financial condition and results of operations for the periods presented. All significant intercompany transactions, balances, revenues and expenses are eliminated upon consolidation. The preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP requires management to make estimates and assumptions that affect the reported amounts and disclosures in the financial statements. Actual results could differ from those estimates.

Pending Accounting Pronouncements Disaggregation of Income Statement Expenses. In November 2024, the FASB issued ASU 2024-03, Disaggregation of Income Statement Expenses ("ASU 2024-03"). The standard requires the disaggregated disclosure of certain income statement items. ASU 2024-03 is effective for fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2026 and interim periods beginning after December 15, 2027 and early adoption is permitted. The company does not expect the additional disclosure requirements to have a material impact on the company's condensed consolidated financial statements.
