| VARIABLE INTEREST ENTITIES | VARIABLE INTEREST ENTITIES Certain assets and liabilities of consolidated variable interest entities ("VIEs") included in the Consolidated Balance Sheets. The assets may be used only to settle obligations of the consolidated VIEs, and the liabilities represent third party liabilities of the consolidated VIEs for which creditors have no recourse to CNH's general credit.
