| Revenue from Contract with Customer [Abstract] | |
| Revenue Recognition | Revenue Recognition We recognize revenue to depict the transfer of promised goods to customers in an amount that reflects the consideration to which we expect to be entitled in exchange for those goods. The majority of our revenue is derived from the sale of tangible products whereby (1) control of the product transfers to the customer at a point in time, (2) we recognize revenue at a point in time, and (3) the underlying contract is a purchase order that establishes a firm purchase commitment for a short period of time. Our standard terms of sale provide our customers with a limited warranty against faulty workmanship and the use of defective materials. We have elected to apply certain practical expedients that allow for more limited disclosures than those that would otherwise be required by FASB ASC Topic 606, including (1) the disclosure of transaction price allocated to the remaining unsatisfied performance obligations at the end of the period and (2) an explanation of when we expect to recognize the related revenue. We believe that our geographic regions are the categories that best depict how the nature, amount, timing, and uncertainty of revenue and cash flows are affected by economic factors. Refer to Note 15: Segment Reporting for additional information.
