2 Use of non-GAAP financial measures This Presentation contains certain financial measures that are not measures recognized under U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”) and therefore are considered non-GAAP financial measures. These non-GAAP financial measures may include, without limitation, adjusted net income, adjusted diluted earnings per common share, adjusted pre-tax pre-provision net revenue, consolidated and segment adjusted revenue, consolidated and segment adjusted noninterest expense and adjusted noninterest income, consolidated and segment adjusted efficiency ratio (tax-equivalent basis), adjusted return on average assets and equity, and adjusted pre-tax pre-provision return on average assets. Each of these non-GAAP metrics excludes certain income and expense items that the Company’s management considers to be adjusted in nature. The Company refers to these non-GAAP measures as adjusted measures.
