| New Accounting Standards | (3) New accounting standardsAccounting Pronouncements Not Yet AdoptedIn November 2024, the FASB issued ASU 2024-03, “Income Statement-Reporting Comprehensive Income-Expense Disaggregation Disclosures (Topic 220)”. ASU 2024-03 requires additional disclosure in the notes to financial statements of specified information about certain expenses such as purchases of inventory, employee compensation, depreciation, intangible asset amortization, and depreciation and other expenses which are presented in the face of the income statement within continuing operations. This ASU is effective for annual periods beginning after December 15, 2026, and interim periods within annual periods beginning after December 15, 2027, with early adoption permitted. The Company is currently evaluating the impact of adopting this ASU on its condensed consolidated financial statements and disclosures. |
