Operating segments are identified as the components of an enterprise of which separate discrete financial information is available for evaluation by the Chief Operating Decision Maker (the CODM) in making decisions regarding resource allocation and assessing performance. The measure of segment assets is reported on the balance sheets as total assets. To date, the Company's CODM has made such decisions and assessed performance at the Company-level as a single segment using information at the condensed consolidated financial statement level. The CODM is Steven C. Quay, M.D., Ph D. Chairman, President and CEO. The CODM utilizes Net Loss from the Condensed Consolidated Statement of Operations for the measure of segment profit or loss. |
