Operating segments are defined as components of an entity about which separate discrete information is available for evaluation by the chief operating decision maker, or decision-making group, in deciding how to allocate resources and in assessing performance. The Company currently operates in two business segments, which are U.S. and international segments for the development and commercialization of therapies for patients with rare diseases. A single management team that reports to the Chief Executive Officer comprehensively manages the entire business. The Company meets the aggregation criteria of ASC 280 and therefore has one reportable segment for the three months ended March 31, 2026 and March 31, 2025.

The Company allocates, for the purpose of geographic data reporting, its revenue based upon the location of its customers. Total product revenue, net, by geographic area was as follows (in thousands):
