Business Segment and Geographic Information The Company operates in one segment based upon the Company’s organizational structure, the way in which the operations and investments are managed and evaluated by the chief operating decision maker (“CODM”) as well as the lack of available discrete financial information at a level lower than the consolidated level. The Company shares common, centralized support functions which report directly to the CODM and decision-making regarding the Company’s overall operating performance and allocation of Company resources is assessed on a consolidated basis. Significant segment expenses regularly provided to the CODM are consolidated research and development expenses and consolidated sales, general and administrative expenses.
