Appendix: GAAP to Non-GAAP Reconciliation 25 EAST WEST BANCORP, INC. AND SUBSIDIARIES GAAP TO NON-GAAP RECONCILIATION ($ in thousands) (unaudited) On June 30, 2025, the California single sales factor apportionment method (“CA SSF”) was approved for financial institutions in the 2025 tax year, which resulted in $6 million of additional income tax expense recorded in the second quarter of 2025. The table below provides the computation of the Company’s effective tax rate and adjusted effective tax rate excluding the impact of the CA SSF. Management believes that presenting the adjusted effective tax rate computation allows comparability to prior periods.
