Recently Issued Accounting Standards |
Recent Accounting Pronouncements not yet adopted In December 2023, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (“FASB”) issued ASU 2023-09, “Income Taxes (Topic 740): Improvements to Income Tax Disclosures”. The amendments in this ASU are intended to enhance the transparency and usefulness of income tax disclosures and provide for specific rate reconciliation categories; additional disclosure for reconciling items that meet a quantitative threshold; and disclosure of federal, state and foreign income taxes paid by individual jurisdiction. The amendments in this ASU are effective for annual periods beginning after December 15, 2024. Early adoption is permitted. The Company does not expect this ASU to have a material impact on its financial statements. In November 2024, the FASB issued ASU 2024-03, “Income Statement – Reporting Comprehensive Income – Expense Disaggregation Disclosures (Subtopic 220-40): Disaggregation of Income Statement Expenses”. The amendments in this ASU require more detailed disclosures about an entity’s business expenses. Additional interim and annual reporting disclosures in the notes to financial statements include the amounts of inventory purchases, employee compensation, depreciation, amortization of intangible assets and a qualitative description of amounts that are not separately disclosed. The amendments in this ASU are effective for annual periods beginning after December 15, 2026, and interim reporting periods beginning after December 15, 2027. Early adoption is permitted. The Company does not expect this ASU to have a material impact on its financial statements. A variety of proposed or otherwise potential accounting standards are currently under consideration by standard-setting organizations and certain regulatory agencies. Because of the tentative and preliminary nature of such proposed standards, management has not yet determined the effect, if any that the implementation of such proposed standards would have on the Company’s consolidated financial statements. |
