Income Taxes | NOTE 12. INCOME TAXES The effective tax rate for the three and six months ended June 30, 2025 was 31.0% and 31.0%, respectively, compared to 31.2% and 26.7% for the same periods in 2024. The change in the effective tax rate between the periods was primarily due to discrete items recorded in the first half of 2025 with changes in projected earnings mix by geography and tax jurisdiction, foreign withholding tax, and changes in non-deductible expenses. On July 4, 2025, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (“OBBBA”) was enacted in the U.S. The OBBBA includes significant provisions, such as the permanent extension of certain expiring provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, modifications to the international tax framework and the restoration of favorable tax treatment for certain business provisions. The legislation has multiple effective dates, with certain provisions effective in 2025 and others implemented through 2027. We are currently assessing its impact on our Condensed Consolidated Financial Statements. |
