The Company's investments in affiliates principally consist of equity investments in limited liability companies in which the Company has the ability to exercise significant influence over the operating and financial policies of these investments. Accordingly, the Company accounts for its investments using the equity method of accounting.

Operating results presented in the Company's condensed consolidated financial statements include the Company's proportionate share of net income (loss) from its equity method investments. During the six months ended June 30, 2025 and 2024, Income (loss) related to joint ventures was $5.6 million and $1.7 million, respectively, and return on investment operating cash distributions was $2.0 million and $0.8 million, respectively.
