ALLOWANCE FOR CREDIT LOSSES | ALLOWANCE FOR CREDIT LOSSES Our allowance for credit losses is computed using a number of factors including our historical credit loss experience, customer aging trends, our customers' credit ratings, in addition to other customer-specific factors. We have also considered recent trends and developments related to the current macroeconomic environment in determining our ending allowance for credit losses for both accounts receivable and contract assets. The allowance for credit losses on contract assets was not significant. A rollforward of our allowance for credit losses on our accounts receivable balance is presented below for the twelve months ended December 31, 2021 and 2022 (in thousands):
Recoveries of amounts previously written off were not significant for the twelve months ended December 31, 2022.
