Lixiang Education Received Notice of Extension to Satisfy a Continued Listing Rule

LISHUI, China, November 30, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Lixiang Education Holding Co., Ltd. (the “Company” or NASDAQ: LXEH), a prestigious private education service provider in China, today announced that it received a notice of extension to satisfy a continued listing rule on November 25, 2022.

As previously reported, on September 15, 2022, the Company received a written notice (the “Notice”) from the Listing Qualifications Department of The Nasdaq Global Market (“Nasdaq”) indicating that the Company was not in compliance with Listing Rule 5450(a)(2) (the “Minimum Public Holders Rule”), which requires the Company to have at least 400 public holders for continued listing on the Nasdaq Global Market. The Notice is only a notification of deficiency, not of imminent delisting, and has no current effect on the listing or trading of the Company’s securities on the Nasdaq Global Market.

Subsequently, the Company submitted to Nasdaq a plan to regain compliance. On November 25, 2022, the Company received an extension from Nasdaq until January 31, 2023 to regain compliance with the Minimum Public Holders Rule. In the event the Company does not satisfy the Minimum Public Holders Rule by January 31, 2023, Nasdaq will provide written notification to the Company that its securities will be delisted. At that time, the Company may appeal the determination to a Listing Qualifications Panel of Nasdaq.
