7. Leases

The Company enters into various operating leases for its worldwide facilities. In the second quarter of fiscal year 2023, the Company extended leases for its Shenzhen office and one of its facilities in Santa Clara, California for an additional two years beginning October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2024. For the lease extensions, the Company recorded an increase to the operating lease right-of-use (ROU) assets and corresponding operating lease liabilities of approximately $0.8 million in the condensed consolidated balance sheets.       

Operating lease expense was approximately $0.9 million and $0.8 million for the three months ended July 31, 2022 and 2021, respectively, and was approximately $1.8 million and $1.6 million for the six months ended July 31, 2022 and 2021, respectively. The Company's short-term leases and finance leases were not material as of July 31, 2022 and January 31, 2022, respectively.
